Become a Volunteer Driver

This is the most flexible volunteering opportunity you will ever find!

Once accepted as a volunteer driver you would become a member of our drivers WhatsApp group.

Advanced requests detailing help required are posted each morning, Monday to Friday, by our office volunteers.

If you are able to help with a particular task; inform the office volunteer via the drivers WhatsApp group, or by telephoning the office.

There is no required time commitment involved with this role, we are grateful of any amount of time be it once a week or once a month.

Whilst helping with a driving task, note down your mileage as you will be able to claim mileage and other expenses (e.g. parking).  Most clients give a small donation for each journey which you would also need to keep a record of.

Volunteering with CHVS will also enable you to meet new people in the local community as we organise regular social events for our volunteers.
