Join our enthusiastic team of committed volunteers, make new friends and help your community!
Our office at the Hook Centre is open every weekday from 9am to 12 noon. A typical day in the life of a volunteer would be:
Sign in at reception and open the CHVS office
Check for messages on the answerphone or requests from the previous day's volunteer
Answer any telephone calls and take notes on new requests (name, address, details on help required)
Share the details of the clients request on the Drivers WhatsApp group and circulate it among the team
When a Volunteer has been found, contact the client and pass on the good news!
At the end of the day, safely return all documents and lock up the office, ready for the next day's volunteer
